Maintenance Crew Leader with Advanced Mechanical Ability

Seeking a motivated, skilled, experienced landscape professional to oversee a small crew. This individual will be expected to work in the field on a daily basis, maintaing properties amoung a variety of other outdoor and physical jobs. At the end of their working day and at times on weekends this individual will maintain and care for ourdoor equipment. Individuals who meet the following will be considered for this position:

Experience with mowing equipment, snow plowing and a keen attention to detail.

Advanced mechanical knowledge. The qualified applicant will have the ability to work with small engines and identify mechanical problems along with the ability to make small repairs, and maintain our field equipment. mowers, trimmers, landscape equipment, small engines etc.

Clean drivers abstract and experience driving trucks with large trailers a must.

This is a career for the qualified individual. Red Bear will offer a possible full time (year round) position for the right applicant. Salary or hourly wages (to be determined), benefits and other incentives to be offered depending on qualifications. Hourly rates (or equivalent salary) of $14-$16 depending on qualifications.

Crew Assistants

This individual must be motivated and have an excellent attention to detail. Duties include gardening, mowing, trimming, etc. A typical day will be to assist a leader on a truck with daily cutting and maintenance schedules. You will work at times independently or with often just one other individual. Our high standards mean that your attention to detail and excellent work ethic are the most important things you can bring to this position.

Experience is not necessary but an asset. Availability for long hours is a must and having transportation to get to and from the shop during the week is required. You will want to be physically fit and love the outdoors to enjoy what this position has to offer!!

Hourly rates $11-$12 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Gardening Enthusiast

This individual should love to work outside and not be afraid to get into the garden and work. Daily responsibilities will be to work with our horticulturist and at times with others or independently to maintaing residential and commercial properties...specifically plant material. A knowledge of plant material, pruning experience and attention to detail are all assests that we are looking for in the qualified individuals for this position A drivers licence, clean abstract are also necessary as this individual may at times be working independently. This position is flexible enough to offer someone from 3-5 days per week depending on availablity and qualifications. Compensation is based on qualifications.

Landscaping Crew Assistant

This individual need not be experienced in landscaping but must be comfortable with hard and heavy work. A comfort level in working with power tools is also an asset...specifically concrete saws, grinders and tamping equipment.

Daily responsibilities will be to assist with our landscape crew on residential projects. Willngness to work hours beyond the norm on occasion are required.

Clean drivers abstract is a must and experience driving trucks with large trailers an asset.

Hourly Compensation rate of $12-$14 pending qualifications.

Horticulturist / Garden Specialist

We are seeking a self motivated individual to specialize in residential and commercial garden maintenance. You will be responsible for maintaining gardens by visiting them on a regular basis throughout the season and work unsupervised but often with an assistant.

The qualified individual should have an excellent knowledge of trees, shrubs, and perennials, when and how to prune small shrubs and divide perennials in the garden. Knowledge and experience working with a variety of power and hand pruning tools. A drivers abstract must be provided and you should be comfortable with driving a truck and towing a trailer.

This position is available as either part of full time. Minimum 3 days per week if part time is preferred. The qualified individual would receive an hourly rate of $15 - $18 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Landscape Professional

Seeking a motivated, skilled, experienced landscape professional to oversee a small crew and manage construction jobs with limited supervision.

The qualified individual must have skills in hardscape and softscape installations and a complete understanding of the process involved in these installations.

Specifically the types of installations include, paving stones, retaining walls (natural and segmental walls), stone step construction, planting trees, shrubs, perennials etc. Concrete forming, masonry skills, deck construction, screening and woodworking skills also an asset.

Other assets include the ability to operate a skid steer and mini excavator. An understanding and ability to interpret a scaled CAD landscape design.
